<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Installation of fall-prevention panels at Fifth and Walnut parking garage completed</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Effective Friday, March 24, Professional Contractors & Engineers Incorporated (PC&E), contractor for the City of Columbia Public Works department, has completed the installation of steel panels in all window openings of levels 5 through 8 of the Fifth and Walnut parking garage, 500 E. Walnut St.<br /><br />Full access to all levels of the parking garage has now been restored. <br /><br />The window barriers are part of a two-phase fall-prevention project at the parking structure. The City made an investment of $488,000 into phase one, which involved building a 10.5 foot fence along the perimeter of the roof. The City invested $423,000 into phase two, which included the installation of steel panels to cover approximately 150 openings.<br /><br />Please view the previous press release regarding installation of the fall-prevention panels at <a href="https://www.como.gov/CMS/pressreleases/
