<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Solid Waste hosts public meeting to discuss facilities improvements</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">The City of Columbia Solid Waste Utility has scheduled a public information meeting to discuss proposed facility expansions at the Columbia Landfill. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Conference Room 1C at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.</p>
<p>The first project will include the addition of two equipment storage buildings. The proposed buildings will be metal prefab construction enclosed on three sides with concrete floors. One building will be able to house 12 Solid Waste collections vehicles, while the other would be able to house eight.</p>
<p>The second project will include a service bay and an automated truck wash bay. The addition of this facility will help Solid Waste improve the operation, appearance and longevity of the Utility vehicles.</p>
<p>During the meeting, residents will have the opportunity to review preliminary plans, ask questions, make comments and complete a public comment form.</p>
<p>Public comments will also be accepted online at <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://beheard.como.gov/solid-waste-facilities-expansion-project">BeHeard.CoMo.gov</a> through May 16.</p>
