<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Beginning Tuesday, May 16 at 7 a.m., Christensen Construction Co., contractor for Public Works, will close East Walnut Street to motorists between North College Avenue and Old Highway 63 North. The closure is to allow for the completion of an asphalt overlay on East Walnut Street as part of the ongoing East Walnut Street resurfacing project.<br /><br />North William Street and Ripley Street will remain open to both northbound and southbound traffic. However, motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible, to find alternate routes and to expect delays.<br /><br />East Walnut Street is scheduled to reopen by 7 a.m., Thursday, May 18, weather permitting.</div>
