<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Due to expected rain, Christensen Construction Co., contractor for City of Columbia Public Works, will now begin asphalt overlay work on East Walnut Street at 7 a.m., Thursday, May 18. During construction, East Walnut Street will be closed between North College Avenue and Old Highway 63 North.<br /><br />As a reminder, North William Street and Ripley Street will remain open to both northbound and southbound traffic. However, motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible, to find alternate routes and to expect delays.<br /><br />East Walnut Street is now scheduled to reopen by 7 p.m., Friday, May 19, weather permitting.</div>
