<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Due to ongoing staff shortages within the Solid Waste Utility, the City of Columbia will temporarily suspend the collection of all residential curbside recycling. Residential curbside recycling will resume no sooner than June 20. During this time, the Utility will monitor and evaluate staffing levels in order to restore this service as soon as staffing levels allow. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City’s priority is to the health and sanitation of our community. Therefore, the collection of refuse must take priority over the collection of recyclable materials.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Customers may take recyclable materials to one of the nine recycling drop-off sites the City has available. A list of recycling drop-off centers and their locations can be found at </span><a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://www.como.gov/contacts/recycling-drop-off-centers/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">CoMo.gov/utilities/solidwaste/recycling-drop-off-centers</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We realize the suspension of curbside recycling will be an inconvenience for many of our residents. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. The City of Columbia appreciates the citizens' patience as we work to restore this service for our customers.</span></p></div>
