<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Parks and Recreation announces pool opening schedule; Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center opens this weekend</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Columbia Parks and Recreation is opening Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center for Memorial Day weekend. The pool will be open May 27, 28 and 29 from 12 to 5 p.m.<br /><br />Albert-Oakland will close Tuesday, May 30, then reopen for the season on May 31. The pool will be open Wednesdays through Sundays from 12 to 5 p.m. for the summer.<br /><br />Douglass Family Aquatic Center is scheduled to open for the season on June 14 and Lake of the Woods Pool on June 28, if enough lifeguards are hired. More details about opening dates and hours are at CoMo.gov (search pool schedules) or on the <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://www.facebook.com/ComoParksandRec">Parks and Recreation Facebook page</a>.  <br /><br />Parks and Recreation has an upcoming training session for lifeguards from June 2-4. Training is free of cost for those who are employed by the City; the training is $175 for everyo
 ne else. Shifts are flexible; guards must be at least 15 years of age. <br /><br />A one-day recertification class will be held June 4 at for those who are currently certified. Registration for either the new certification or recertification classes is available by calling 573.874.7460.<br /><br />Stephens Lake and spraygrounds at Stephens Lake Park, Flat Branch Park and Douglass Park opened on May 1 and will remain open through Sept. 30.<br /><br />For more information, call Parks and Recreation at 573.874.7460.</div>
