<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <br />The Office of Cultural Affairs Celebrates Make Music Day and invites musicians and venues to participate. <br /><br /><br />For Immediate Release (Columbia, MO) - The City of Columbia - Office of Cultural Affairs joins the Make Music Day celebration with a day of live music celebrating the summer solstice Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Make Music Day is a one-day event where free, live musical performances, opportunities to make music, and other musical events take place around the world on the longest day of the year. Musical festivities in Columbia are part of a global celebration of music-making in over 1,000 cities inspired by France’s Fete de la Musique.<br /><br /><br />The Office of Cultural Affairs invites everyone from professional musicians to people who have never picked up an instrument to join in the global music celebration by attending and participating in events througho
ut the city. Locations can sign up to serve as venues - for example, restaurants, shops, or even your own front porch - and request or be matched with musicians. To register to participate as a musician or a venue, visit MakeMusicDay.org/ColumbiaMO.
