<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - City of Columbia offices will be closed Monday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth, which honors the end to slavery in the United States. <br /><br />Residential curbside refuse will not be collected on the holiday and will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. As a reminder, due to staffing shortages residential curbside recycling is suspended. Customers may take recyclable materials to one of the nine recycling drop-off sites the City has available. A list of recycling drop-off centers and their locations can be found at <a href="https://www.como.gov/contacts/recycling-drop-off-centers/">CoMo.gov/utilities/solidwaste/recycling-drop-off-centers</a>.<br /><br />The landfill will be closed Monday. As a reminder, collection crews will begin their routes at 6:30 a.m. through Labor Day. Please have your refuse at the curb no later than 6:30 a.m.<br /><br />Residents can download t
 he COMO Recycle and Trash app for collection day reminders and service notifications. Questions concerning the collection schedule should be directed to the Contact Center at 573.874.CITY (2489). <br /><br />Go COMO, Columbia’s public transit system, will not operate. Parking enforcement will be suspended on Juneteenth. <br /><br />The City’s Activity & Recreation Center (ARC) will operate at reduced hours on Monday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rec swim will be available from noon to 2:30 p.m. The Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center and Douglass Family Aquatic Center will be open from noon to 5 p.m. <br /><br />Although administrative offices for both the Police and Fire departments will be closed, all other emergency services will be available.<br /><br />Phone numbers to contact staff regarding emergencies related to Water & Light, Sewer and Stormwater can be found at <a href="https://www.como.gov/Utilities/">CoMo.gov/Utilities/</a>. </div
