<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police investigate collision with injuries near Discovery Parkway and South Ponderosa Street, June 15</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision with injuries that occurred June 15 near the intersection of Discovery Parkway and South Ponderosa Street</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 8:46 a.m. officers were dispatched to a report of a vehicle collision with injuries. Through their investigation, the department’s Traffic Unit determined that the collision involved a 2012 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Toni M. Cagle, 35, of Columbia and a 2013 Hyundai Elantra driven by Trevor J. Kocour, 29, of Columbia.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Impala was traveling northbound on South Ponderosa Street. The Elantra was traveling westbound on Discovery Parkway. The front of the Elantra struck the passenger side of the Impala as the Impala was crossing the roadway.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ms. Cagle was not wearing a seat belt and sustained non-life threatening injuries. She later went to the hospital for evaluation.  An adult passenger in the Impala sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. One juvenile passenger in the Impala sustained serious injuries and a second juvenile passenger in the Impala sustained life-threatening injuries. They were transported to the hospital. Neither juvenile passenger was wearing a seat belt.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mr. Kocour was wearing a seat belt and sustained non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Collisions like these are preventable. We ask that drivers take every precaution and drive safely to protect themselves and others. Always obey traffic signals, use a seat belt, keep your phone down and keep your eyes on the road. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you see anyone driving erratically or dangerously, either pull off the road to call or have a passenger call 911. We appreciate the Columbia Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services personnel who responded to this incident and everyone who helps prevent collisions by driving safely.</span></p></div>
