<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Update on installation of accessible pedestrian signals at two West Worley Street intersections</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Beginning Tuesday, June 20 at 7 a.m., Aplex Inc., contractor for City of Columbia Public Works, will begin work on the West Worley Street and West Boulevard phase of the Worley Street APS Project. Once work begins, sidewalk closures and intermittent driving lane restrictions and closures will be required at the intersection of West Worley Street and West Boulevard.<br /><br />This phase of the project includes the installation of new signal equipment including accessible pedestrian signals with countdown timers at the West Worley Street and West Boulevard intersection. The design also includes the reconstruction of several sidewalk ramps at the intersection corners to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.<br /><br />The previous phase included the installation of new signal equipment including accessible pedestrian signals with countdown timers at the West Worley Street a
nd Bernadette Drive intersection. The signals at West Worley Street and Bernadette Drive are now substantially complete and open to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.<br /><br />The previous press release can be found at <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://www.como.gov/CMS/pressreleases/view.php?id=8415">CoMo.gov/CMS/pressreleases/view.php?id=8415</a>. <br /><br />Due to manufacturing delays in obtaining signal cabinets, the work is now anticipated to be completed in mid-July, weather permitting.</div>
