<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Columbia Parks and Recreation is hosting two interested parties meetings to gain feedback on the development of the Orr Street park property. The first will be July 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. and the second meeting will be Aug. 4, also from 5 to 7 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the park property, 210 Orr St.<br /><br />Parks and Recreation staff will be available at both meetings to share the proposed plans for park development, answer questions from the public and gather feedback from citizens. Proposed park improvements may include passive greenspace, a playground, a performance area, permanent public art installations, a seating area and sidewalk and parking improvements. <br /><br />The Missouri Department of Economic Development awarded the City of Columbia $1.25 million through Missouri’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Community Revitalization Grant Program for the development of the
  Orr Street park property. The grant will be matched by funds generated by the voter-approved Park Sales Tax.<br /><br />Anyone who cannot attend the public input meetings can still provide feedback online at <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://beheard.como.gov/orr-street-park">BeHeard.CoMo.gov/orr-street-park</a>.<br /><br />For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 573.874.7460. </div>
