(COLUMBIA, MO) - CAM LLC, contractor for the City of Columbia Public Works department, is scheduled to perform pavement maintenance using Reclamite on 21 City streets beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11. Reclamite is an asphalt rejuvenating agent that works to prevent water from penetrating into the roadway. The product can rejuvenate the protective qualities of asphalt lost through oxidation caused by precipitation, sunlight and other factors. Reclamite treatments are typically expected to add an extra five to seven years to the life of the pavement.

The contractor plans to work daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. ‘No parking' signs will be posted on streets planned for treatment at least 24 hours in advance of maintenance. Please refrain from parking your vehicles on signed streets during working hours.

Temporary lane closures will be required until the product is absorbed into the asphalt. T
raffic control signs and flaggers will be present to assist motorists through work zones as needed. Motorists and pedestrians should use caution in the work zone and find alternate routes if possible.

Maintenance is scheduled to be completed by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, weather permitting.

A list of the streets planned for Reclamite maintenance follows. More information and a full list of City streets that have received pavement maintenance in 2023 is available at CoMo.gov/public-works/street-division/pavement/2023-pavement-management-progress/.
