<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia invites the community to attend the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Columbia Fire Department’s new Fire Station 11, 6909 S. Scott Blvd., Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 11 a.m.<br /><br />Comments will be delivered by local officials followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Community members will then be invited inside to tour the new station.<br /><br />The new station will have three apparatus bays, a training room and house a Columbia Police Department substation. It also features industry-leading safety and sustainability implements, and a sculpture by Kansas City glass artist, Tyler Kimball, as part of the City’s Percent for Art program.<br /><br />Construction is being funded by the 2015 &frac14; cent capital improvement sales tax.<br /><br />Guests can park along the sidewalk of Montauk Court within the nearby subdivision named Deerfield Ridge, located east 
 of the construction site. We ask that those who attend please avoid blocking driveways and mailboxes.</div>
