<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia will hold a hiring event for positions within the Public Work department Friday, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Armory, 701 E. Ash St.<br /><br />The hiring event will include on-site interviews, same-day drug testing, on-site performance testing (for Equipment Operator-955), and the initiation of background checks. <br /><br />Applicants should bring a valid driver's license and should dress appropriately for performance testing. <br /><br />The City’s Human Resources department will be holding on-site interviews for the following positions: <br /><br /><strong>Laborer - 955</strong><br />(Assistance to attain CDL available)<br />$15 - 17.23 per hour<br /><br /><strong>Equipment Operator - 955</strong><br />(CDL license is required)<br />$22.47 - 23.84 per hour<br /><br /><strong>Mechanic I - 955</strong><br />(Class B license required within six mo
