<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Ridgemont Bridge to close for removal and replacement starting Nov. 15</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - On Wednesday, Nov. 15, S&A Equipment and Builders LLC, contractor for the City of Columbia Public Works department, will close both driving lanes of Ridgemont between College Park Drive and Highridge Drive for an extended period. The road closure is necessary for work to begin on the Ridgemont Bridge over the County House Branch project. This project involves the removal of the existing bridge with a 3-ton restriction, replacing it with a new bridge that can support up to 38 tons.<br /><br />Drivers attempting to use the bridge during the closure period will be detoured using Stadium Boulevard and Forum Boulevard. Road and bridge closure signs will be posted several hundred feet in advance on both sides of the bridge to forewarn drivers of the closure.<br /><br />The cost of this investment into the City of Columbia's infrastructure is $775,600. Funding for the bridge replacement comes from bot
 h the MoDOT Regional Bridge Program and from the quarter-cent Capital Improvement Program (CIP) sales tax.<br /><br />The work is anticipated to be completed by late spring or early summer 2024, weather permitting.</div>
