<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police arrest individual with multiple warrants and charges, Nov. 13</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Columbia Police arrested Ronald Powell, 28, of Columbia, Nov. 13 following a standoff in the 1200 block of Larch Court.<br /><br />Detectives with the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Special Investigations Division arrived on scene at approximately 11 a.m. and attempted to arrest Powell for multiple warrants. <br /><br />Powell refused to cooperate with detectives and barricaded himself in a residence. As a result, the Crisis Negotiations Team, SWAT Team and other resources were brought in to obtain Powell's compliance.<br /><br />At approximately 4:30 p.m. Columbia Police were able to arrest Powell without incident. We appreciate other first responder agencies present at the scene.<br /><br />Powell was arrested for four separate felony warrants for parole violation and third-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon in connection to a dome
 stic assault case from August.<br /><br />Additional probable cause was obtained on Nov. 13 to arrest him for second-degree domestic assault, second-degree kidnapping, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon in connection to an incident that occurred Oct. 23.<br /><br />This is an ongoing investigation. If anyone has information related to their location or regarding the incident, contact us at 573.874.7652 or CrimeStoppers at 573.875.8477 to remain anonymous.</div>
