<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Public invited to learn about Columbia Regional Airport Master Plan at scheduled open houses</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Members of the public are invited to attend several open houses to learn more about the Columbia Regional Airport (COU) Master Plan. <br /><br />An Airport Master Plan is a comprehensive study of the airport that evaluates the short-, medium-, and long-term development needs to meet future aviation demands at COU. The last Master Plan was completed in 2009. <br /><br />The Airport Master Plan looks to understand the issues, opportunities, and constraints unique to the Columbia Regional Airport. The Master Plan process will include evaluating the existing capacity of the airport, considering the impacts of aviation trends and identifying future needs of the airport. <br /><br />The assessment will result in the development of alternatives which will be analyzed for alignment with the goals of COU and the community it serves. After the alternatives are selected, the planning team will 
 prepare the capital improvement plan and implementation plan which will guide the future improvements and growth at COU.<br /><br />The first open house session will be Thursday, Jan. 11 at Columbia Regional Airport, 11350 S. Airport Dr., from 3 to 5 p.m.<br /><br />The second open house session will be the same day, Thursday, Jan. 11 at City Hall conference room 1A/1B, 701 E. Broadway from 6 to 8 p.m. <br /><br />There will also be a virtual option for citizens to attend Jan. 11 from 3 to 5 p.m. More information about the virtual option, as well as the COU Master Plan, are available at <a href="https://www.flycou.com/masterplan/">FlyCOU.com/masterplan/</a>.</div>
