<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display: inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">PROJECT UPDATE: Water & Light has updated the project. The work will have only one work area -- just west of the intersection with Westwood Avenue. During the closure time, flagmen will divert the eastbound lane of W. Broadway around the work area. This project is still scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.<br />SCHEDULE UPDATE: The work on this project has been delayed to Feb. 14. <br /><br />Beginning at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, City of Columbia Water & Light crews will close the eastbound lane of West Broadway to complete electrical work in the area. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Water & Light will be boring under the pavement at the intersection with Westwood Avenue to connect wires to two utility poles. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The first work area will be west of Westwood Avenue. When that work is completed, the crews will begin a second work area east of Westwood Avenue. Flagmen will be present to direct traffic around the work area.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The entire project is expected to take about 2&frac12; hours.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Access to all drive approaches will remain open. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise caution when in the work zone or find alternate routes.</span></p></div>
