<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">City of Columbia Public Works to establish consistent parking enforcement hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning March 18</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Based on amendments to the City code of ordinances approved by City Council Feb. 5, City of Columbia Parking Utility crews will begin the process of changing enforcement times at all on-street metered parking spaces to 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. These changes are being made to align on-street parking enforcement times with those found inside the City's six downtown parking garages.<br /><br />The alignment of parking enforcement times are part of efforts being made by Public Works to streamline and simplify parking procedures across the City. Presently, downtown City parking garages enforce parking regulations from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, while on-street parking meters are enforced from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday.<br /><br />All on-street parking meters and pay-by-app parking signs are being updated with the new hours of enforcement, which will take effect Monday, Ma
 rch 18.<br /><br />Drivers should keep in mind that the days of the week that parking is enforced is not being altered. City parking garages will continue to offer free parking to all drivers Saturdays and Sundays. On-street metered parking spaces will remain free every Sunday. Regardless of the day and time, drivers should remember to never park in any space marked as reserved or restricted.</div>
