<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police are actively searching for Justin Lamarr Simpson, 41, of Columbia, for second-degree murder in connection to a homicide that occurred May 7, 2023 in the 900 block of East Business Loop.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On May 7 at approximately 2:15 a.m. Columbia Police responded to the 900 block of East Business Loop for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a total of five individuals who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. One adult male was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of his injuries. He was later identified as Melvin Hooker III, 26, of Columbia.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">CPD has arrested Samuel Lee Moss Jr., 29, Kimo Deandre Spivey, 34, and Steven Wayne Grimes, 26, all of Columbia, for their involvement in this incident.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation.
