<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police investigate fatality collision involving a vehicle and bicyclist on Highway 63 and Route B</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 3:30 p.m. on March 20, Columbia Police responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and bicyclist at the intersection of Highway 63 and Route B.  </span></p>
<br />
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A 2019 GMC truck and trailer was traveling north on Highway 63 and then exited onto northbound Route B when the trailer struck bicyclist Jimmy Dye, 64, of Columbia. Dye was transported to a local hospital where he later died. Next of kin has been notified.</span></p>
<br />
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the accident, which is currently under investigation. </span></p>
<br />
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Columbia Police Department at 573.874.7652 or CrimeStoppers at 573.875.TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous.</span></p>
