<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Fire Department responds to a residential structure fire in the 5000 block of Clark Lane, March 25</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - On Monday, March 25, at 8:25 a.m., the Columbia Fire Department was dispatched to a multi-family residential structure fire in the 5000 block of Clark Lane.<br /><br />The first crew arrived in four minutes to find smoke and flames at the backside of the building. While the fire was contained in one building, multiple units were affected. Crews brought the fire under control within approximately two minutes. <br /><br />Eight Columbia Fire units, comprising of 19 personnel, responded to this incident.<br /><br />Fire crews remained on the scene for approximately two hours to assist fire investigators and ensure that no areas of hidden fire remained.<br /><br />The Columbia fire marshals are continuing an origin and cause investigation. No injuries were reported at the time of the incident.<br /><br />The Columbia Fire Department reminds residents that smoke alarms save lives. Smoke alarms should be
  placed on the ceiling (or on a wall no closer than four inches from the ceiling) on every level of your home and outside of places where people sleep. Check your smoke alarms monthly by pressing the test button. Change your smoke alarm batteries at least twice per year when adjusting your clocks for Daylight Saving Time. Replace any smoke alarm over 10 years old.</div>
