<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Columbia Police Department is requesting the assistance of the community to locate two black male juveniles who are involved in the homicide that occurred in the 3300 block of Premier Lane. Both juveniles are residents of Columbia, but it is unknown if they are still in the Boone County area. They are believed to be armed and dangerous. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Detectives are aware certain members of the community possess information regarding the whereabouts of these juveniles. The department seeks assistance from the community to locate and safely detain these juveniles without any further incidents. Because the suspects are juveniles, we are legally unable to release names. Both juveniles actively have detainer warrants at this time. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Columbia Police Department at 573.874.7652 or CrimeStoppers at 573.875.TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Providing information to Crimestoppers that directly leads to the arrest of one of the suspects </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">could also qualify you</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> for a cash reward</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 3300 block of Premier Lane around 8:50 p.m. on April 11.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers arrived at the scene and discovered Derek Silvey, 18, of Columbia, with gunshot wounds. Officers provided medical assistance until the arrival of Emergency Medical Services. Silvey was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The department’s Criminal Investigations Division continues to investigate the incident. The Columbia Police Department would like to thank the Missouri State Highway Patrol for providing assistance. </span></p>
