<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Save a Life: Naloxone education and distribution event hosted by Spectrum Health Care and Welcome Home, April 25</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - In partnership with the Boone County Overdose Response Coalition and Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS), Spectrum Health Care, and Welcome Home will host a Save a Life: naloxone education and distribution event on Thursday, April 25. The event will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 1123 Wilkes Blvd., Columbia (at the corner of Wilkes Boulevard and Fay Street). No registration is required.<br /><br />After the event, from 6:30 to 7 p.m., PHHS staff will be present to provide information and brief training for individuals who aren’t able to be at the formal presentation. Both the formal and informal training will include recognizing the signs of an opioid overdose and an explanation of how to use and access naloxone nasal spray.<br /><br />Save a Life is a series of monthly, free-to-the-public events that feature education and conversation around how members in the communi
 ty can help to prevent opioid overdose deaths through the use of naloxone, also known as Narcan® (a drug that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose).<br /> <br /><em>This event is funded in part by contract  DH240054280 between PHHS and the State of Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. As a result of the continued partnership between PHHS and the Missouri Institute for Mental Health (MIMH), NARCAN® will be available to participants of the event at no cost.</em></div>
