<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">First responders in Boone County will hold a joint active intruder/shooter training at The Crossing education center in Columbia on April 29. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"This is a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary training exercise that will allow police, fire and all emergency services to rehearse coordination, communication and rescue of survivors," said Michael Hestir, Columbia Police training coordinator. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">First responders in Columbia and Boone County have been invited to participate in the training.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The training is scheduled to take place in the morning. While emergency vehicles and multiple first responders will be present at the church and education center, the public should be aware that there is no emergency at that location and to avoid The Crossing area during this exercise.   </span></p></div>
