<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">City of Columbia Parking Utility to install 15-minute curbside pickup parking signs and meters starting May 13</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - As part of efforts to improve parking convenience, crews with the City of Columbia Parking Utility will begin installation of 15-minute curbside pickup parking signs and meters in downtown Columbia starting Monday, May 13.<br /><br />Locations for the 19 curbside pickup parking meters were selected in collaboration with members of the Downtown Community Improvement District (CID) to provide customers with quick access to business-centric areas. A time limit of 15 minutes was chosen to ensure regular parking space turnover.<br /><br />The curbside parking program, first approved by City Council in June 2020, aims to streamline pickup services for all downtown businesses and create a more customer-friendly environment. These spaces can be used for curbside pickup needs for any downtown business and are not exclusively reserved for the business located directly adjacent to the meter.<br /><br />Prior 
 to May 13, curbside parking spaces have been designated with red canvas bags placed over the parking meters, which will be removed as part of the sign installation process. Once the signs are in place and the meters have been programmed with their new 15-minute time limits, patrons will be responsible for ensuring meter payment during their stay. Parking rates will be consistent with the standard on-street parking rate of 60 cents per hour.</div>
