<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police respond to shots fired on Clark Lane, May 17</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 12:30 p.m. on May 17, Columbia Police responded to shots fired in the 3400 block of Clark Lane. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Upon arrival in the area, officers located an adult male who had been shot during the disturbance. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During their investigation, officers learned a second adult male had been struck by gunfire. He was taken by a personal vehicle to a local hospital.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The first male, Louis W. Hart, 56, of Columbia, later died at the hospital from injuries sustained from a gunshot wound. Next of kin have been notified.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Initial information gathered by investigators at the scene indicated that the two males were shooting at each other.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing homicide investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Columbia Police Department at 573.874.7652 or CrimeStoppers at 573.875.TIPS(8477) to remain anonymous.</span></p>
