<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police respond to shots fired and disturbance on Ninth Street, May 19</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 3 a.m. May 19, Columbia Police responded to a large disturbance and shots fired in the 10 block of South Ninth Street.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Detectives determined the incident began at 2 a.m. as a large physical disturbance near the intersection of South Ninth Street and Broadway.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 3 a.m., an adult female passenger in a vehicle near the disturbance was struck by gunfire. She was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Police have arrested Tanikya Dunn, 19, of Sikeston, for first-degree assault and armed criminal action; Kalvin Johnson, 20, of Columbia, for three counts of first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action; and Jearlissia Jackson, 18, of Columbia, for first-degree assault. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police would like to thank the Ashland Police Department, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol for their assistance.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Columbia Police Department at 573.874.7652 or CrimeStoppers at 573.875.TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous.</span></p>
