<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Public encouraged to use alternate routes for upcoming community events</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Residents are encouraged to allow extra time when traveling this weekend as roadwork and closures may cause congestion. Drivers are encouraged to use caution and use alternative routes when possible. <br /><br />The Boone County Fair is scheduled to take place from 5 to 10 p.m. daily July 16-20 at the Northeast Regional Park, 5212 Oakland Gravel Road. <br /><br />Due to a Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) construction project, Highway 63 will be reduced to one lane through the duration of the event. Additionally, due to nighttime events at the Boone County Fair on July 19 and 20, Brown School Road will be blocked east of the Highway 63 exit for eastbound traffic from 5 to 8 p.m. Drivers will be advised to use Prathersville Road. Message boards will be in place to direct traffic. Fair attendees are strongly encouraged to use an alternate route to reach the park, such as Brown S
 tation Road to Starke Avenue. <br /><br />Additionally, this weekend marks the first of two weekends for the annual Show-Me State Games in Columbia. The competitions will occur at facilities throughout the community and bring thousands of visitors from all over the state.<br /><br />We thank drivers as they travel throughout Columbia.</div>
