<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The Shops at Sharp End now features the work of three local artists in its first exhibit. After an open call to artists, facilitated by the City of Columbia’s Office of Cultural Affairs, three artists were chosen to exhibit a selection of artworks in a variety of media. The artists are Ja’Licia Gainer, Ni Kang, and Ginger Cawley of Bucket Emporium. <br /><br />Ja’Licia Gainer works in oil painting with an emphasis on nature, human figures and abstract element. Ni Kang is a Chinese traditional painter who utilizes an ancient water and ink painting technique. Ginger Cawley of Bucket Emporium has prints of her work available, featuring detailed micron pen drawings. Works can be purchased on site at The Shops at Sharp End and will be on display through October. <br /><br />There is an ongoing open call for artists for future exhibits at The Shops at Sharp End, which can be found 
 on the City’s Office of Cultural Affairs website at CoMo.gov/arts. To align with the values of The Shops at Sharp End, minority and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color artists are encouraged to submit applications. The City’s Commission on Cultural Affairs Standing Committee on Public Art will review applications on a quarterly basis to select the next round of artists. <br /><br />Summer hours for the Shops at Sharp End are Wednesday through Saturday, 12 to 5 p.m. More information can be found at <a href="https://www.theshopsatsharpend.com/">theshopsatsharpend.com</a>. </div>
