<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Overnight cooling shelter will be available when overnight temperatures reach 75 degrees F or higher</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia has contracted Turning Point to provide a temporary overnight cooling service at Wilkes Boulevard United Methodist Church located at 702 Wilkes Blvd, beginning Aug. 5. Overnight services begin at 8 p.m. This location will only be open when the National Weather Service forecasts the overnight low temperature to be 75° or above. <br /><br />Turning Point staff will coordinate with homeless service providers to ensure the cooling center is accessible. The temporary overnight cooling center is there to serve as a last resort for persons unable to access local overnight services. <br /><br />This center is in addition to the cooling centers available during normal daytime business hours at the following locations,<br />

<li>City Hall, 701 E. Broadway</li>
<li>Columbia/Boone County PHHS, 1005 W. Worley St.</li>
<li>Daniel Boone Regional Library, 100 W. Broadway</li>

<li>Salvation Army Harbor House, 602 N. Ann St.</li>
