<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - In partnership with the Boone County Overdose Response Coalition and Friendship Church, Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) will host a Save a Life: naloxone education and distribution event Tuesday, Aug 13. The event will be at Friendship Place at 110 N. Rollins Road, Centralia from 5:30-6:30 p.m. No registration is required.<br /><br />This marks the 22nd consecutive monthly SAVE A LIFE event the Coalition has offered in Boone County. Communities or agencies interested in hosting a SAVE A LIFE opioid education and naloxone distribution event are welcome to contact PHHS.<br /><br />Save a Life is a series of monthly, free-to-the-public events that feature education and conversation around how members in the community can help to prevent opioid overdose deaths through the use of naloxone, also known as Narcan® (a drug that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose)
