<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Water Utility is holding a public information meeting to discuss a proposal to construct a new well in McBaine Bottoms. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The meeting is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Alluvial well No. 10 is at the end of its useful life and is no longer producing a sufficient volume of water. The Water Utility is proposing to drill a new well on the same site, install new pumping equipment and properly close the existing well.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the meeting, residents will have the opportunity to review preliminary plans, ask questions, make comments and complete a public comment form.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Public comments will also be accepted online at </span><a style="white-space:nowrap" href="http://beheard.como.gov/new-water-well-construction"><span style="font-weight: 400;">BeHeard.CoMo.gov</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> through Sept. 11.</span></p>
