<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">City of Columbia Water & Light is holding a public information meeting to discuss proposed electric distribution line extensions in the City. The meeting is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 in Conference Room 1A/1B at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The new electric distribution line extension projects would include the installation of new underground electric lines that will increase reliability and distribute additional power to our customers.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The projects to discuss are: </span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Broadway and Fairview:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> This project construction starts at the Perche Creek substation on Ludwick Boulevard, follows along Scott Boulevard and Broadway and ends at Broadway’s intersection with Fairview Road.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Howard Orchard Road:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> This project construction starts at the Perche Creek substation on Ludwick Boulevard, follows Louisville Drive and Brushwood Lake Road and ends at the intersection of Howard Orchard Road and Route KK.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Westbury Subdivision:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> This project construction starts at the Perche Creek substation on Ludwick Boulevard, follows Scott Boulevard and Bray Avenue and ends southeast of Hulen Lake at Park Ridge Drive.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Bolstad to Blue Ridge:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> This project construction starts at the Bolstad substation on Peabody Road, follows along the west side of the COLT Railroad and ends at the Blue Ridge substation at the end of Blue Ridge Road.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Please see the attached maps for proposed line routing.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work is expected to begin in 2026. No customer service interruptions are anticipated during the work.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the meeting, residents will have the opportunity to review preliminary plans, ask questions, make comments and complete a public comment form.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Questions and comments will also be accepted online at </span><a style="white-space:nowrap" href="http://beheard.como.gov/electric-distribution-extension"><span style="font-weight: 400;">BeHeard.CoMo.gov</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> through Sept. 12.</span></p>
