<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police arrest subject for kidnapping, assault and  resisting arrest on Conley Road, Sept. 20</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 1:35 p.m. on Sept. 20, Columbia Police responded to a call in the 100 block of Conley Road where an adult male had threatened the use of a weapon. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">While at the scene, police received a call that an adult male matching the description was in a business in the 90 block of Conley Road, armed with a weapon. Police arrived at the location and observed Ricco Marshall, 39, of Columbia, who matched the description, exiting the business. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">When Marshall saw the officers, he retreated back inside. He then took a woman hostage, using her as a shield between himself and the officers. Officers took decisive action to ensure her safe release. A Taser was effectively deployed during the incident, and no innocent bystanders or the hostage were injured.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Marshall was arrested on charges of three counts of first-degree kidnapping, two counts of fourth-degree assault and felony resisting arrest. Columbia Police would like to thank the Boone County Sheriff’s Department for its assistance in this arrest.  </span></p>
