<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Members of the public are invited to attend an open house to learn more about the Columbia Regional Airport (COU) Master Plan Monday, Sept. 30. The open house will include two sessions, with virtual options for those who are unable to attend in person: </span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Session 1</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Noon to 2 p.m. at Columbia Regional Airport Terminal Building Lobby, located at 11350 S. Airport Drive, Columbia </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Session 2</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">3 p.m. - 5 pm. at the Walton Building, located at 300 S. Providence Road, Columbia</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">An Airport Master Plan is a comprehensive study of the airport that evaluates the short-, medium- and long-term development needs to meet future aviation demands at COU. The last Master Plan was completed in 2009. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Airport Master Plan looks to understand the issues, opportunities and constraints unique to the Columbia Regional Airport. The Master Plan process will include evaluating the existing capacity of the airport, considering the impacts of aviation trends and identifying future needs of the airport. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The assessment will result in the development of alternatives which will be analyzed for alignment with the goals of COU and the community it serves. After the alternatives are selected, the planning team will prepare the capital improvement plan and implementation plan which will guide the future improvements and growth at COU.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Previous open house input sessions were held Jan. 11, 2024. </span></p>
