<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Several lane and sidewalk closures are scheduled around Columbia through the end of October and are listed below. Residents are encouraged to review them and plan accordingly.<strong><br /><br />West Sexton Road lane closure, Oct. 22</strong><br />From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, weather permitting, Coil Construction will be removing water and sewer services to prepare for building demolitions on West Sexton Road.<br /><br />This work will close the southbound lane of West Sexton Road between Business Loop 70 West and Mikel Street. Flaggers will direct traffic to allow vehicles from both directions to pass. However, drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes if possible.<br /><br /><strong>South Eighth Street sidewalk closure, Oct. 22</strong><br />From 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, weather permitting, Columbia Hospitality Management will be working on the Glenn's Cafe sign at 29 S. Ei
ghth St. A portion of the west sidewalk along South Eighth Street between East Broadway and Cherry Street will be closed during the repair.<br /><br /><strong>East Walnut Street lane closure, Oct. 23-29</strong><br />Starting at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, Taos Construction Inc. will install water service to the new building at 1104 E. Walnut St. This work will close the eastbound lane of East Walnut Street between Short and Orr Streets. <br /><br />Flaggers will manage traffic flow, allowing traffic from both directions to pass through the area. However, drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes if possible.<br /><br />The project is expected to be completed and the lane reopened by 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, weather permitting.</div>
