<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 2 p.m. Nov. 7, Columbia Police responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a moped on West Broadway near Heather Lane. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The initial investigation showed that </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">a moped ridden by a </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">60-year-old man from Columbia</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> was traveling westbound on West Broadway. The moped </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">crossed into the passing lane and collided with</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> a vehicle driven by a </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">26-year-old woman of Columbia</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The man </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">was ejected from the moped and was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was not wearing a helmet. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Columbia Police Department at 573.874.7652.
