<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - City of Columbia Parks and Recreation has officially opened the annual winter trout fishing program at Cosmo-Bethel Park, 4500 Bethel St., as of today, Nov. 8. <br /><br />The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) has stocked the lake at Cosmo-Bethel Park for the winter trout fishing program. Parks and Recreation partners with MDC to stock and maintain fish populations in multiple lakes throughout the City to help increase species diversity and provide local fishing opportunities year-round.<br /><br />All trout must be released, unharmed through Jan. 31, 2025. Only artificial baits (no natural or scented baits) can be used during that time. Beginning Feb. 1, 2025, anglers can harvest trout under statewide regulations. A valid Missouri fishing permit and a trout permit are required.<br /><br />For more information, call Parks and Recreation at 573.874.7460 or the Missouri Department of Con
