<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Go COMO, Columbia's public transit provider, reminds riders that the DoubleMap app, previously used for bus tracking and service information, will be retired nationwide Dec. 31, 2024. Starting with the first service day of the new year, Jan. 2, 2025, Go COMO riders must use the ETA SPOT app for real-time bus tracking, schedules and service alerts.<br /><br />The free ETA SPOT app is available for download on Google Play at <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.etatransit">play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.etatransit</a> and the App Store at <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/eta-spot/id1021211544">apps.apple.com/us/app/eta-spot/id1021211544</a>.<br /><br />Because Go COMO does not operate Jan. 1 for New Year's Day, the first day of operations where ETA SPOT replaces DoubleMap will be Jan. 2. Riders are encouraged
  to download and familiarize themselves with ETA SPOT before then.<br /><br />Improvements with ETA SPOT:<br /><br />
<ul>
<li><strong>Accurate arrival times:</strong> ETA SPOT provides more precise "time until arrival" data through an intelligent tracking system.</li>
<li><strong>Better alerts:</strong> Notifications appear on the app's main screen, unlike DoubleMap, where they were hidden behind a menu.</li>
<li><strong>Modern features:</strong> Future updates will include push notifications, Google integration, photos of bus stops and nearby attraction details.</li>
<li><strong>Enhanced map options:</strong> Users can switch between standard street maps and satellite views for navigation.</li>
</ul>
To ensure everyone is informed, Go COMO has taken multiple steps to communicate the transition to ETA SPOT. Information has been shared via:<br /><br />
<ul>
<li>Signs posted at the Wabash Bus Station, on all bus stop signs and inside buses</li>
<li>Text alerts sent through the Alerts.CoMo.gov system</li>
<li>An announcement on the DoubleMap app</li>
<li>Social media posts and press releases</li>
</ul>
Riders can sign up at <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://Alerts.CoMo.gov">Alerts.CoMo.gov</a> to receive high-priority notifications regarding changes to bus service caused by traffic, staffing or other events. Riders can also view bus routes online at <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://www.gocomotransit.com/routes/">GoCOMOTransit.com/routes</a> or contact Go COMO dispatch at 573.874.7524 for assistance.<br /><br />Go COMO thanks all riders for their cooperation during this transition and looks forward to providing improved transit services in 2025 and beyond.</div>
