<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Water Utility has scheduled an open house-style public meeting to discuss a proposal to construct a new water tower in southwest Columbia. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The meeting is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 in Conference Room 1A/1B at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In order to continue providing reliable service to our customers, the Water Utility is proposing to construct a water tower on Beulah Ralph Elementary property near the end of Thornbrook Parkway. The proposed project would improve water distribution infrastructure and improve service for customers in the area.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the meeting, residents will have the opportunity to review preliminary plans, ask questions, make comments and complete a public comment form.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Public comments will also be accepted online at </span><a style="white-space:nowrap" href="http://beheard.como.gov/southwest-water-tower"><span style="font-weight: 400;">BeHeard.CoMo.gov</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> through Jan. 2.</span></p>
