<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Update: Suspect arrested for Nov. 2 assault on Forum Boulevard</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Jan. 2, Marquise Mathis, 44, of Columbia was arrested in connection with an assault that occurred in November on Forum Boulevard. Mathis was arrested on charges of second-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. The Columbia Police Department would like to thank the Boone County Sheriff's Office for its assistance in making this arrest.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 10 a.m. Nov. 2, Columbia Police responded to an assault and shots heard incident in the 3900 block of Forum Boulevard. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the initial investigation, it was discovered that an argument had occurred between two adult men. One of the men was assaulted and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Gunfire was heard but no injuries were reported from the gunfire. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The assault suspect left the scene. Through their investigation, Columbia Police identified Mathis as the suspect. Evidence indicated this was a targeted incident. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Columbia Police Department at 573.874.7652. To provide information without leaving your name or number, call CrimeStoppers at 573.875.8477. If you provide information to Crimestoppers that leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for UP TO a $2,500 cash reward. </span></p>
