<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia is beginning a series of monthly discussions held by City Council members and City staff known as "Let’s Talk Local." Each meeting will be held in one of the City’s six wards. The first meeting will be held by First Ward Council Member Valerie Caroll from 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26 at the Downtown Optimist Clubhouse, 1201 Grand Ave.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about the "Love Your Block" grant program for neighborhood projects in central Columbia. City staff will also be on hand to visit with residents about litter pickup, neighborhood dumpster events in 2025, tree planting possibilities, code enforcement issues and other needs. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"We are thrilled to invite community members to join us at these new monthly meetings," said City Manager De’Carlon Seewood. "This will provide residents a valuable opportunity to connect with City staff and council members, discuss important community topics and share insights on the issues that matter most. I encourage everyone to participate in addressing issues and learning about initiatives relevant in each ward."</span></p>
