<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia will host a meet and greet open to the public with the final candidates for the City's Economic Development director position Jan. 31 from 5-7 p.m. at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, in conference room 1A/1B.<br /><br />During the meet and greet, members of the public will have the opportunity to drop in anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. to speak with the finalists. Light refreshments will be provided.<br /><br />Information about each candidate is listed below:<br /><br /><strong>Paul Eisenstein</strong><br /><br />Paul Eisenstein has worked at the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) since 2017. He has served as the senior director of operations since September 2023, previously having worked as strategy and performance division director and senior advisor and strategy and performance division deputy.<br /><br />Before working at DED, Eisenstein worked at the Y Scouts exec
 utive search firm in Phoenix, Arizona, as a leadership search consultant. Prior to that, he worked in a variety of roles in the nonprofit sector in St. Louis and San Francisco, including The Mission Continues, Big Brothers Big Sisters and AmeriCorps.<br /><br />Eisenstein's education includes a graduate certificate in public policy from the University of Missouri, an executive master of business administration degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a bachelor of arts in urban affairs from Saint Louis University.<br /><br /><strong>Edward F. Hayes III</strong><br /><br />Edward F. Hayes III previously worked at Memphis Light, Gas and Water as manager of economic and community development, at the Greater Memphis Chamber as economic development existing business consultant and membership account executive, at R.S. Lewis and Sons Funeral Home as sales manager, at First Guaranty Insurance Company as account manager and New Chicago Community Development Corp. as executi
 ve director.<br /><br />Hayes' education includes a master of business administration degree from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, and a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee.</div>
