<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Jan. 28, Columbia Police arrested a juvenile in connection with a shooting on Jan. 27 on Mayflower Drive. The juvenile was arrested for first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. The juvenile was located and arrested in Mexico, Missouri with the assistance of the Mexico Public Safety Department.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Jan. 27, Columbia Police arrested Ataveon Gordon, 18, of Columbia, for first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon, and Jared Britt Jr., 18, of Columbia, for first-degree assault.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Jan. 27 at approximately 9:42 a.m., CPD officers responded to the area of Providence Road and Nebraska Avenue following a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male who sustained a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, where his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening. Upon further investigation, officers</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">determined that the shooting took place in the 2600 block of Mayflower Drive.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /><br /></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Columbia Police Department at 573.874.7652. To provide information anonymously, call CrimeStoppers at 573.875.8477. If you provide information to CrimeStoppers that leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,500.</span></p>
