<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia has finalized its list of organizations receiving grant funding for Juneteenth events. There were 12 applications, representing both new and existing events and initiatives, received by the City of Columbia for its Juneteenth Grant program, and they were evaluated by a committee based on set criteria. All 12 were awarded funding for their event or initiative. The following events or initiatives were awarded:</span></p>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Let Freedom Ring: Columbia African American Business Alliance</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Celebration at Douglass Park: COMO Juneteenth</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Powerhouse Annual Juneteenth Event: Powerhouse</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Honoring the Past for a Bright Future: A Juneteenth Celebration: Columbia Housing Authority Moving Ahead Program</span></li>

</ul>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Last fall, the City of Columbia applied for and received grant funding from the Missouri Arts Council, which distributed funds to communities to support Juneteenth celebrations across the state. The City was awarded $29,800, all of which was awarded to the grant applicants.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Additionally, there will be a workshop for grant recipients. This workshop will provide an opportunity to learn more about receiving the grant funds and the post-event report required of recipients. The workshop will take place Wednesday, March 12, at 5:30 p.m. at the Walton Building, 300 S. Providence Rd.</span></p></div>
