<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia will host its first Community Summit Saturday, March 15. Focused on providing residents an opportunity to shape the City's future by sharing their input and ideas, the event will be held 9 a.m. to noon at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.<br /><br />Community Summit is a free and family-friendly event where residents can drop in at any time to explore interactive booths and learn about current and future City initiatives. Booths will be aligned with the five strategic goals outlined in the City's Strategic Plan, allowing residents to learn more about current City programs, while providing valuable feedback on their priorities.<br /><br />Residents can provide feedback on major City services, potential improvements and other topics at each booth. They will also have the chance to use "CoMo Bucks" to vote for which areas they think deserve additional funding, input that will help infor
 m City staff or City Council on future decisions. Options are available for children to provide feedback as well.<br /><br />"As a City, we are committed to fostering an open and inclusive dialogue between residents and City staff. This new event will create a valuable opportunity for our community to come together, discuss significant issues and learn more about the services we provide," said City Manager De'Carlon Seewood. "The feedback we receive from channels like Community Summit and our Community Survey are vital to ensuring we meet the needs and priorities of those we serve."<br /><br />Entertainment for the event will include performances from dance groups Jabberwocky Studios and 360 Stars in Motion. Snacks will also be provided. Metered parking enforcement will be suspended March 15 and parking garages will be free.<br /> <br />Attendees who share additional feedback at the event will also be eligible to receive a free T-shirt and will be entered into a giveaway for
