<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia is hosting the monthly Let’s Talk Local discussion from 6-7:30 p.m. March 19 at the Thornbrook Clubhouse, 4300 Thornbrook Terrace. This month’s discussion will feature Ward 5 Council Member Don Waterman.<br /><br />This month’s topic will focus on recruitment efforts and staffing at the Columbia Police Department. Police Chief Jill Schlude will discuss efforts the department has made to hire new officers, the new police academy and more.<br /><br />The presentation will be followed by an opportunity for residents to ask questions related to the topic or other issues. Refreshments will be provided.<br /><br />These meetings are open to all residents from any ward. Attendees are asked to register at the following link: <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1YWsoinAYu14Olzba6bO0hSAeIhZ0YvpUiuennh77Z7w/edit">bit.ly/41rPypF</a>. Reside
