<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At about 4:17 p.m. March 11, Columbia Police responded to an assault with a weapon on the Bear Creek Trail near Garth Avenue.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Two adult women reported they were assaulted by a man who sprayed or threw an unknown caustic liquid on them. The women were treated at a local hospital and released.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Through their investigation, Columbia Police identified the suspect as Maxon Castle, 22, of Lake of the Ozarks, with no permanent address in Columbia. Castle was located and arrested by Columbia Police on March 12 on two counts of second-degree assault.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Columbia Police Department at 573.874.7652. To provide information without leaving your name or number, call CrimeStoppers at 573.875.8477. If you provide information to Crimestoppers that leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,500. </span></p>
