<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police seize 34 illegally obtained firearms and arrest eight suspects March 19, 20</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On March 19 and 20, Columbia Police served six warrants that resulted in eight arrests and the seizure of more than 34 illegally obtained firearms.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Detectives had received information that a large number of firearms had been stolen in a burglary from another jurisdiction earlier this month. Through further investigation, detectives learned that the firearms were being illegally sold to persons prohibited from possessing firearms in Columbia.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At about 2:30 p.m. on March 19, the Columbia Police Department SWAT Team served a search warrant in the 1600 block of Radcliffe Drive and located 14 firearms. Kayla Dugan, 36, of Columbia, was arrested on 10 counts of felony stealing, 23 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, 23 counts of unlawful use of a weapon and one count of possession of a controlled substance. Justin Shelton, 30, of Columbia, was arrested on 10 counts of felony stealing and 23 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Detectives developed information that additional firearms had been hidden in the woods nearby. Detectives responded to a wooded area in the 900 block of College Park Avenue, where they located an additional nine firearms. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At about 8:20 a.m. March 20, Columbia Police served a search warrant in the 4400 block of Oriole Lane and found one illegally obtained firearm. Taron Moorehead, 41, of Columbia, was arrested on one count of felony stealing and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At about 11 a.m. March 20, Columbia Police conducted a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Business Loop 70. Gerald Bell, 44, of Centralia, was arrested on 10 counts of felony stealing and 23 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At about 2:45 p.m. March 20, the Columbia Police SWAT Team served a search warrant in the 2100 block of Dickinson Court, where detectives located one firearm. Thomas Abbey, 38, of Columbia, was arrested on one count of felony stealing, one count of unlawful possession of a firearm and one count of possession of a controlled substance.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At about 3:30 p.m. March 20, the Columbia Police SWAT Team served a search warrant in the 1400 block of Bass Avenue, where detectives located one firearm inside a residence. Robert Ruble, 38, of Columbia, was arrested on one count of felony stealing, one count of unlawful use of a weapon and one count of possession of a controlled substance.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At about 4:15 p.m. March 20, the Columbia Police SWAT Team served a search warrant in the 1900 block of Mirtle Grove Court, where detectives located four firearms inside a residence. Tyrone Sabb, 49, of Columbia, was arrested on one count of felony stealing and four counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At about 8:45 p.m. March 20, the Columbia Police SWAT Team served a search warrant in the 1800 block of Prathersville Road, where detectives located four firearms inside a residence. Ronald McIntire, 46, of Columbia, was arrested on one count of felony stealing.</span></p>
